Professional Development

Christine and Gloria, besides running clinics at Pascoe Vale & Ashwood are consultant speech pathologists to the Western Autistic School where, with members of the team at Spectrum, have been providing ongoing therapy services and professional development since 1996.

They have also had a regular role as guest lecturers at the Autism Teaching Institute since its inception in 2006. The Autism Teaching Institute offers post graduate Certificate and Diploma courses for teachers specializing in Autism Spectrum disorders.

Chris and Gloria are experienced presenters of workshops, lectures, conference presentations and school in service training. They have presented training to numerous special school, special development schools and mainstream primary schools in the area of Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.

Over the past few years Chris and Gloria have provided further training to Speech Pathologists through their involvement with the Speech Pathology Australia Continuing Professional Development Program.

They regularly present locally and interstate to parent and professional groups.
