For the last 25 years Melissa has been assessing, diagnosing and helping navigate friendships and social skills in young people with Autism. She works closely with families and schools to support young people in the classroom and beyond. In 2015 she was the first Australian psychologist to attend UCLS and be trained in the highly regarded evidenced based PEERS social skills intervention program for adolescents. She has a special interest in working with girls who may otherwise go undetected or misdiagnosed.\nGloria Staios B. App Sc (Speech Pathology), CPSP\nWith more than 30 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, Gloria is co-owner of Spectrum Speech, a clinic which focusses on and conducts social skills programs for autistic girls. Gloria completed the Advanced Intensive Social Thinking clinical Training Program in USA in 2012. Together with her team at Spectrum Speech Pathology, they offer many small girls groups in term time and holiday programs incorporating the Social Thinking methodology. Gloria supports schools in understanding the strengths of autistic girls and taps into their special interest to motivate and engage them.\nHannah Arbuthnott\nHannah is proudly autistic and will share with you about growing up including navigating friendships, struggles, strategies plus challenge preconceived ideas around friendships and relationships.
