Storytelling – Individual Program – Moonee Ponds – Sept 2026
DEVELOPING NARRATIVE LANGUAGE SKILLS – INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM
Give your child the words to tell their story
Every great storyteller starts somewhere. This September, help your child build the narrative language skills that set them up for confident communication – with friends, in the community and in school.
Spectrum Speech Pathology’s Storytelling Holiday Program is a tailored, individual program designed to strengthen your child’s ability to understand, retell, and create stories, including developing the important skills of personal narrative skills. Built on a multi-tiered language intervention curriculum and using the Story Champs® framework, this program is holiday downtime into meaningful progress.
What your child will work on
Every session is designed around your child, focusing on the language and learning skills that matter most:
- Listening comprehension – following and understanding spoken language
- Reading comprehension – making sense of what they read
- Answering questions about stories – thinking critically about what happens and why
- Vocabulary development – building the words to express ideas clearly
- Retelling and writing stories – organising thoughts into a clear beginning, middle, and end
- Personal narratives
