Andrea Raja

Senior Speech Pathologist
B.Sp.Path (Hons), CPSP, MSPA

She began her Speech Pathology career working in community health in Melbourne before moving to London where she lived for over a decade. Whilst in London, Andrea progressed to working as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. She gained valuable experience across many clinical settings, including community health centres, special school, home-based, kindergarten and childcare settings, and specialist educational speech and language units, including the renowned Nuffield Speech and Language Unit. She gained extensive experience in implementing individual, group and parent-focused therapy programs, as well as in delivering training to parents and educational staff.

Over the years, Andrea has participated in regular professional development. She is a Hanen trained therapist for both ‘It Takes Two to Talk’ and ‘More Than Words’, and her other training includes Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), The Little Group Approach, Social Thinking, Paget Gorman Signed Speech, and Key Word Sign. Andrea is passionate about early intervention and particularly loves to work with pre-school children. She has a special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex communication challenges. Having two young children herself, and years spent working in home-base therapy models, makes Andrea all the more dedicated to working in partnership with parents to deliver therapy that can be realistically translated from the clinic to the home.
