Jo comes to Spectrum with broad and diverse professional experiences across the communication and education sectors. She has worked in journalism, English language teaching and assessment administration. Jo’s passion to work with people in need of intervention to maximise their communication led to her completing a Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne.

Jo has worked with both children and adults with speech, language, cognitive and pragmatic difficulties, across mobile and teletherapy, community and private health clinics, hospital rehabilitation and school settings.

Jo loves the energy and spontaneity that comes with working with children, and strives to deliver engaging, play-based therapy that is evidence-based. As a parent, Jo understands the need for therapy to be family-centred, accessible and fun to help achieve the best outcomes for the child.

Jo is passionate about equity and access in communication to promote life participation. She believes everyone has a right to access optimal communication and is driven to assist people in achieving this with their unique abilities and circumstances.
