Melissa graduated Speech Pathology (Audiology Honours) from the University of Queensland in 1997. She initially split her time between Speech Pathology and Audiology, before choosing to work full-time in Speech in 1999.

She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including Community Health and Special Schools and the private clinic setting. Her professional career has also seen her working in Brisbane, Sydney and Tokyo, and now Melbourne. Melissa regularly attends professional development and inservices as a part of her commitment to providing excellence in therapy.
She loves working with children and their families, particularly the little ones under six, and has a particular interest in children with ASD and developmental delay. Melissa now spends her time between work and her growing family of 3 young children.
